Unlike other types of laser hair removal systems, the Icon laser is equipped with a special skin reader, making it safe to use on all skin types.

What can I expect during treatment?

Before treatment begins, your ReJuv MedSpa aesthetic expert first cleans your skin and applies a numbing agent to reduce any discomfort. During treatment, they hold your skin to improve laser access to your hair follicle. Treatment time varies depending on the area you’re having treated, and can last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.

Your skin may be red and swollen after treatment, but it shouldn’t affect your ability to return to your usual activities. However, your aesthetic expert will recommend you limit sun exposure as your skin heals.

You may notice an immediate reduction in hair after the first treatment, but due to the variation in the hair growth cycle, for best results, you may need as many as six treatments set at six-week intervals.

Does the hair grow back?

After completing your treatment, you may be hair free for several months. However, over time, some hair may grow in the laser treated area. But the new hair may come in thinner, lighter, and finer.
